Mr. Montgomery began his IT career in 1995 as a computer lab assistant with the University of Houston-Downtown and rose to Senior Technical Support Specialist while working on his undergraduate degree. Before joining Garcia Hamilton & Associates, he was a Network Administrator for Smith Graham & Company Investment Advisors and served as an IT Consultant to a number of firms in various industries.
Mr. Montgomery joined Garcia Hamilton & Associates in 2007 as Systems Manager. Since joining the Firm, he has worked continuously to improve the Firm’s technology, including early adoption of private cloud and virtualized server technologies. His most recent projects include the addition of a new data center, deployment of virtual desktops, and the modernization of our trade order and portfolio management systems to improve security and compliance. Mr. Montgomery became a Partner of the Firm in 2019.
